"God packs the greatest blessings into the greatest difficulties," Nimrod Malinas is convinced. The young entrepreneur at the head of the global start-up 'Robot-as-a-Service' spoke about his career on Friday in the Lindensaal in Flawil. Around 100 personalities from business, society and politics listened to him at the Martini Forum of the Young Entrepreneurs Center.
No money for the USA
Nimrod Malinas was born 27 years ago in Romania. After school, he worked in his father's construction business, which he later wanted to take over. After two years, however, the business went bankrupt. More bitter experiences followed for the man, who was already working as a construction manager. He had to leave Romania. He didn't have enough money to study in the USA.
He therefore applied for a job as a construction manager in Vorarlberg. Ten hours of work on an excavator every day awaited him, with modest pay. "I was no longer my father's son, but experienced the daily challenges of co-workers," he says in retrospect. That gave him the impetus to campaign for improvements in working conditions with the help of robots.
«Dream incredibly big»
He was able to realize his dream of owning his own company in Switzerland. The fact that he was the boss of 40 employees as a 22-year-old Romanian in Vorarlberg was convincing. He was entrusted with a company in Altstätten. Its business area goes beyond painting systems. Online marketing is used to sell the robot solutions.
They should dare to dream incredibly big, Nimrod Malinas advised his listeners. Satiety prevents further development. One's own mission, one's own contribution to a better world, should not be lost sight of throughout one's life.
